Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are Happy Brolly's made?
    Canopy designs are created by myself - see the 'about' page if you would like to know more! I then hand over to a trusted manufacturer in China - who take part in the Business Social Compliance Initiative, practicing ethical and environmentally responsible standards. Together, we can ensure high-quality products, good working conditions and care for the environment.
  • The design is not perfect at the seams. Is this normal?
    Yes absolutely. Due to the manufacturing process from printing to cutting and stitching there will always be some variation in seams. Very few will be perfect. All umbrellas are checked for seam variation before arriving with you, if the seam allowance does go beyond what is expected in production they will not be sent out as a full price item.
  • How should I care for my umbrella?
    Please consider what conditions you use your umbrella in. No umbrella is designed to withstand gale force winds! If you do choose to use yours in windy conditions point it directly into the wind to stop it from turning inside out. Point it back into the wind to return it to its correct position if it does turn inside out. To guard against rust make sure your umbrella is completely dry before storing. To protect the canopy fabric from the sun & dirt keep your umbrella in its protective case when not in use. If the canopy does get dirty, wipe clean with warm soapy water. Be sure not to use harsh detergents or bleach.
  • Can I return a product? How?
    Yes! A return must be requested by getting in touch via email within 14 days. You then have another 14 days to return after receiving a QR label sent to your email. The cost for the return is £4 and will be deducted from the refund amount. Products must be in the condition you received them, unused and it is encouraged to use the same packaging to return your items to reduce waste.
  • What if my umbrella is faulty?
    All umbrellas are checked thoroughly before being packaged and sent to you. I am so sorry if you do experience any issues. Please get in touch within 30 days, you should include photos/a description of the fault. Please note, although wind resistant, no umbrella is indestructible. Damage due to use in high wind does not constitute a manufacturers fault. If an umbrella is faulty you will not be charged a return fee and will receive a full refund.
  • Where do you deliver?
    Currently only UK delivery is offered but more options will be explored shortly. Please get in touch if you need delivery to your country!
  • What is the cost of delivery?
    Free UK Delivery!
  • Can I track my order?
    Yes! Once your order has been shipped you will receive a tracking number via email. If you have allowed your email & mobile number to be passed to delivery services (in most cases Royal Mail) they may also contact you regarding your delivery.
  • Can I cancel or modify an order?
    If you need to cancel or modify your order please get in touch as soon as possible. Changes cannot be guaranteed as your order may have already shipped.
